Quarterly Study Plan

As we near the end of July, have you started thinking about your fourth quarter studies?  Are you going to study something specific to Thanksgiving or Christmas?  When was the last time you read about the Pilgrims, Plymouth Rock, or The Mayflower Compact?

What about the Reformation?  I know, as a culture, we have sold out to celebrating the pagan holiday of Halloween, but October 31 is Reformation.  The celebration of Christians breaking away from the tyranny of the Catholic Church.

And Christmas, my favorite time of year.  There is so much around Christmas to help us stay grounded in the true meaning of this blessed holiday.  From God’s Word to Dickens to all the great activities available at this time of year.  Will you be attending a live nativity somewhere?  What about a horse-drawn sleigh/carriage ride?  What are some of your favorite Christmas carols?

As July comes to a close next week, it is not too early to start planning your fourth quarter.  Plan your studies to maximize your effectiveness.  Keep up the great work.
